The initial
frustration...

At Octopwn, our journey began with a single spark of frustration — a realization that the penetration testing tools available were often inefficient, incompatible with key operating systems like Linux and Windows, or plagued by other shortcomings. This challenge led to the inception of Octopwn in 2018, crafted initially for personal use out of necessity for speed, reliability, and versatility in internal network penetration testing.

As a seasoned penetration tester, our founder was no stranger to the intricacies and demands of securing networks. Faced with tools that either fell short of expectations or failed altogether, the vision for Octopwn was clear: to create a solution that exceeded the needs of professionals in the field. What started as a personal project evolved rapidly, incorporating advanced features and functionalities that caught the attention and admiration of colleagues across the industry.

...and friendship evolved into
a business.

Our growth took a significant leap forward in 2024 when, alongside a childhood friend and now co-founder, we decided it was time to share Octopwn with the world. Our mission is straightforward —to offer a tool that makes internal network penetration testing fast and reliable for everyone.
